Nikolas Taverna

Laying all day under the sun and diving in and out of the cool Aegean sea, now that is what summer holidays are all about. But let’s make it even better, let’s add a small family tavern with amazing local cuisine, just there, on the sand, a few feet from your comfy sunbed. Now we are talking, right? Nikolas Tavern has been located on the serene beach of Aghia Anna-Paraga since 1967 and is truly a “family affair”, as it has been passing from father to daughter and from mother to son for three generations now. Reflecting its owner’s desire for quality homemade and delicious food, Nikolas Tavern serves traditional Greek cuisine at its very best. Farm-to-table philosophy is treasured here as most of the ingredients in the kitchen come directly from the vegetable garden of the family, the meat from their private farm and the fish from their own fishboat. Do give the Mykonian louza (a type of local charcuterie) and sausage a try, as well as the fried zucchini balls and the feta in crust with honey and sesame. The menu boasts a large variety of fish, seafood, meat, pasta and traditional Greek dishes, so almost everyone will find for sure a personal favourite in this picturesque little seaside tavern.
